Being a father in the twenty-first century is a difficult task. The modern family is a complex mixture of roles that has changed so much in the past 20 years. Being a father nowadays is not like when you were growing up. A man must learn a whole new set of skills and be much more knowledgeable to be successful at raising a child in this new world. Luckily, help is available to help teach these skills.
PROMISS offers fatherhood classes that are designed to address the growing needs of fathers. These men-only classes discuss issues important to men. The classes last eight weeks and are offered to meet the needs of fathers. The fatherhood classes are designed to be entertaining and educational. Dads talk about being a father with other dads while learning the materials together. The classes challenge the father to think about what kind of a father he is, and work on helping him become a bigger and better part of his child's life.
